Clockwork Prince ~Review

Book two: Clockwork Prince

"Ah,” said a voice from the doorway,
“having your annual
‘everyone thinks Will is a lunatic’
meeting, are you?
“It’s biannual,” said Jem.
“And no, this is not that meeting."

Can we just take a minute to look at this absolutely gorgeous cover? Mmmmmmm, yummy. Jem Carstairs, I love you so much! Now, onward with the review. The synopsis please......*drum roll*

True love is shrouded in secrets and lies in the enchanting second book in the #1 New York Times bestselling Infernal Devices Trilogy, prequel to the internationally bestselling Mortal Instruments series.
In the magical underworld of Victorian London, Tessa Gray has found safety with the Shadowhunters. But that safety proves fleeting when it becomes clear that the mysterious Magister will stop at nothing to use Tessa’s powers for his own dark ends.
With the help of the handsome, tortured Will and the devoted Jem, Tessa discovers that the Magister’s war on the Shadowhunters is deeply personal and fueled by revenge. To unravel the secrets of the past, the trio journeys from mist-shrouded Yorkshire to a manor house that holds untold horrors. When they encounter a clockwork demon bearing a warning for Will, they realize that the Magister knows their every move—and that one of their own has betrayed them.
Tessa is drawn more and more to Jem, though her longing for Will continues to unsettle her. But something is changing in Will. Could finding the Magister free Will from his secrets and give Tessa answers about who she really is? As their search leads to deadly peril, Tessa learns that secrets and lies can corrupt even the purest heart.
When book one ended Will shows up at Magnus Banes house. First off, Magnuse Bane, Jem Carstairs, Will Herondale, all are yummy, and if you think otherwise, I'm not sure we can be friends like I had hoped. :P, just kidding, but still. You can't not love them.
Anyway...... Will shows up at Magnus's house saying Mag is the only one that can help Willl..... 0.0 what? What's going on Will? You learn that throughout the book, no spoilers, I promise. This second book has so many plot twists and exciting moment, that you are kinda left dizzy.
Tess has some big choices to make and not to mention all the fighting and shadowhunter battles. Go Henry!!!! Cassandra Clare, did it again! In Clockwork Prince, you really get to learn more about the Downworld and the amazing world of shadowhunters.
In the second book, Clare really connects you to the characters and their world. Again, points to Clare for writing in such a way that she really makes you feel like you are standing next to the characters. A writer who can do that is truly amazing.
By now, I'm sure you can tell how I feel about this series, and if not, let me just try to explain. This book series is absolutely amazing in every way, and you simply can not put it down. Having to wait for each book to come out was torture, and lucky for all of you, all three are out. I highly recommend this series if you have the time to read three books, because again. You can't read just one.
