Confess ~Review

"I'll love you forever.
Even when I can't."

Back of book:
Auburn Reed has lost everything important to her. In her fight to rebuild her shattered life, she has her goals in sight and there is no room for mistakes. But when she walks into a Dallas art studio in search of a job, she doesn’t expect to find a deep attraction to the enigmatic artist who works there, Owen Gentry.

For once, Auburn takes a risk and puts her heart in control, only to discover Owen is keeping major secrets from coming out. The magnitude of his past threatens to destroy everything important to Auburn, and the only way to get her life back on track is to cut Owen out of it.
The last thing Owen wants is to lose Auburn, but he can’t seem to convince her that truth is sometimes as subjective as art. All he would have to do to save their relationship is confess. But in this case, the confession could be much more destructive than the actual sin…

Colleen Hoover has easily become one of my favorite authors. I love her, I love her writing style, how she can flawlessly insert plot twist, and have so much heart breaking and heart tugging but still make the story an incredibly happy one.

This is definitely not one of her saddest books, it still has it's moments. Unlike Ugly love and November 9, this one didn't have me in a flood of tears. I loved this book, so much. I enjoyed the story line and the confessions and the stolen moments.

There were so many questions I had while reading this, and they were all eventually answered, and answered at a pace where it gave me something to think about.

It's hard to write about a career if you aren't actually in that career. A lot of research goes into characters and how to make them realistic. As I was reading I saw no flaw in the character's development. Each character had the knowledge belonging to their career and Owen especially, truly felt like an artist to me.

Hoover's characters are relatable. You may not be in the same situation as the character but you find something to relate about them. I love how much I relate to them and how I can feel all that they feel. Her characters all make me smile, one way or another.

Another thing Colleen Hoover know how to do right, are these little romantic scenes. She makes the heart flutter and you smile and giggle while you're reading. Her characters are so tender and loving and the have unbreakable connections.

This book was incredible and I highly recommend this to anyone, everyone, the whole world. LOVED THIS BOOK.

The character development throughout this novel was incredible, as is her development through all her novels.

I think what I like most about Hoover's novels, is she spends half the novel, making you fall in love with the characters, and the story and then at about three fourths of the way through, she has some extreme plot twist, one that makes you look away from the books, just so you can digest what just happened. Then it's a struggle for the characters to decide how they want to react to their new situation. I love it, her books are ones that you simply can't put down. They are page turners and so much happens in such a short book. You don't even notice how small it is because of all the huge content in it.

Please read this book! It was incredible and I loved it so much!
