First Love ~Review

"Regret is a waste
of time."

Oddly enough, there is no desperation of this book anywhere in the book. The only thing on the back is a picture from their road trip.

So because of this, I'm going to give a quick synopsis of this.

Axi, on a quest to prove there is more to life than when life writes for you, runs away from home with her partner in crime, Robinson. As their journey to find more of life plays out, they discover that the one they are meant for, may just be your best friend.

I loved this book. A lot. It tugged on my heart and made me laugh and cry and giggle and sniffle. One of my favorite things about this novel, were the pictures. James Patterson and Emily Raymond incorporated photographs from the road trip into the pages. It was very fun and entertaining to read through this book and see the same things the characters were.

I do have to warn you, this book has a lot of emotionally parts towards the end. You've learned to love these characters and it's heart wrenching when things don't turn out well.

Despite the sad ending, I highly recommend this book. The story of discovering who they are and what life is really about, is worth the tears shed at the end.

It reminds me of how limited life is. How it was end and you can miss it if you aren't careful.

James Patterson is one of my favorite authors. I really do love his writing.  For a stand alone novel, it was pretty cute and a quick read. If you have the time, this is what I would suggest for you.
