Never Never Part 1 ~Review

"I may not remember anything about her,
but I would bet her smile was
my favorite part of her."

Back of Book:

Best friends since they could walk. In love since the age of fourteen.

Complete strangers since this morning.

He'll do anything to remember. She'll do anything to forget.

What is going on? This is not the Colleen Hoover book I know...... Who is Tarryn Fisher? What am I reading? Why cant I put this down? Why is this so addicting?

Everything you think you are expecting from this book.....isn't correct. This was completely unexpected. When I picked it up, I was thinking, oh yeah Colleen Hoover, my fav author, this is going to be great. It is great, don't get me wrong...... but I was not expecting this.

I cant same much or it will give it away. But this series will leave you second guessing till the very end!

This Savage Song (Monsters of Verity, #1) ~Review

“I mean, most people want to escape. Get out of their heads. Out of their lives. Stories are the easiest way to do that.”

There’s no such thing as safe in a city at war, a city overrun with monsters. In this dark urban fantasy from author Victoria Schwaba young woman and a young man must choose whether to become heroes or villains—and friends or enemies—with the future of their home at stake. The first of two books.

Kate Harker and August Flynn are the heirs to a divided city—a city where the violence has begun to breed actual monsters. All Kate wants is to be as ruthless as her father, who lets the monsters roam free and makes the humans pay for his protection. All August wants is to be human, as good-hearted as his own father, to play a bigger role in protecting the innocent—but he’s one of the monsters. One who can steal a soul with a simple strain of music. When the chance arises to keep an eye on Kate, who’s just been kicked out of her sixth boarding school and returned home, August jumps at it. But Kate discovers August’s secret, and after a failed assassination attempt the pair must flee for their lives.

I read a book without romance. What? If you've been reading Colorado Cozy you'll know that it doesn't happen often if ever. But I did it. I picked up a non romance related story and loved it. Not only did I love it, I pre-order the sequel the day I finished book one!

This Savage Song was incredible. The ideas surrounding the monsters was so original, and the writing stile, so pristine. I loved this! (Love count: 3) This book was totally different from anything I've ever read before. I feel like you need to go into it, not knowing much. Half the fun was figuring things out as you went. Victoria Schwab is an incredible author and I need to pick up more books by her.

The characters in this story were so well developed in my opinion. I felt like each one had the time taken to develop them and have us understand them. Each one has a little piece of my heart now, I love them all.

The plot was action packed and so creative! I loved it!!! (Love count: 5). This Savage Song is a total page turner, you'll be on the edge of your seat, eagerly waiting for what happens next. Although the story ends with a slight cliff hanger, it's not too bad. The cliff hanger just leaves room for another story to develop, it's like the stinger at the end of a marvel movie after all the credits. It's just teasing you to read the next one. WHICH I AM SO PUMPED FOR! By the time this review is posted, the sequel will probably already be out, so you'll be able to just scoop up Our Dark Duet. WHICH YOU SHOULD TOTALLY DO!

I would definitely recommend This Savage Song to anyone, romance lover or not. FIVE STARS!!!!! I loved this book so much!

Total Love count: 6 (Not as bad as I was expecting)

Wallbanger ~Review

"The girl next door was meowing.
What in the world was my neighbor
packing to make that happen?"

Back of Book:
The first night after Caroline moves into her fantastic new San Francisco apartment, she realizes she's gaining an intimate knowledge of her new neighbor's nocturnal adventures. Thanks to paper-thin walls and the guy's athletic prowess, she can hear not just his bed banging against the wall but the ecstatic response of what seems (as loud night after loud night goes by) like an endless parade of women. And since Caroline is currently on a self-imposed dating hiatus, and her neighbor is clearly lethally attractive to women, she finds her fantasies keep her awake even longer than the noise. So when the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts Simon Parker, her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. The tension between them is as thick as the walls are thin, and the results just as mixed. Suddenly, Caroline is finding she may have discovered a whole new definition of neighborly...

In a delicious mix of silly and steamy, Alice Clayton dishes out a hot and hilarious tale of exasperation at first sight...

BY FAR ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOOKS! TALK ABOUT HILARIOUS!!!! From the very first chapter I was hooked. This is the definition of romantic comedy. I love our Wallbanger, Simon and I love our O-less Caroline. They are a perfect match.

There is something about a story that starts off as a love hate relationship and works it's way towards love. I just, I love those and I not know how to explain the properly. It may be the build up to the inevitable fall, but the hate is what makes it worth it.

Simon was a sexy, god with all the perks, a professional photographer, rather financially sound, sexy, hot, funny, sexy, hot, witty and sweet, sexy, hot... (Did I already say that?) ;) He is probably my all time favorite male character, and not just because he is good in bed.

Caroline is an interior designer with a little problem, which I totally feel bad for her. She works hard to achieve her dreams and by some tragedy/miracle she lands herself next door to Mr. Wallbanger himself.

This book guys! I cant even begin to tell you how perfect it is. It had me smiling and laughing from the beginning. The writing was incredible and made it move so quickly, I felt like I was watching a movie and not reading a book. Which is just how I like it! There wasn't a dull moment. How could there be with a cat like Clive.

Speaking of Clive.... He was by far my favorite character in the book. This cat! OMG! He was the most perfect comedic relief for this book. I'm not a huge cat fan, but I am ready to cat-nap Clive. I want this adorable little fur ball. Clive had his own personality and I swear to you, you will love this cat.

This is a book I highly recommend. It is so good, I am rereading it. I only reread books I LOVE. This books does have some trashy moments that may not be suitable for younger reader. But the trashy moments were hot. But how could they not when we have Simon Wallbanger. Ugh! I love him! Definitely a MUST READ
