The Bad Boy, Cupid & Me ~Review

“There were times where all we want is to Play the laughter, Pause the memories, Stop the pain and Rewind the happiness.”

Reece smirked, "Trust me Chloe, the Good Girl always falls for the Bad Boy."

Chloe Armel is a Good Girl.
She never gets in trouble, gets excellent grades and is loved by everyone.

Enter Reece.
Wild, badass and has an ego that honestly couldn't get any bigger.
He gets into fights, breaks every single rule and couldn't care less about the consequences that come with it.

When Chloe's parents leave to treat sick children in Cambodia for two weeks, she is forced to stay at her neighbour's house.
Her neighbour has a son, and it's Reece Carter.

Sneaking out. Parties. Drinks. Hash Brownies. Flirting. Breaking the Law…and Road Trips.
Add a few shots of Cupid's Arrows and what have we got?

No clue.

All we know is, it'll be unforgettable.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was really cute and well written. This story is on Wattpad, which for those of you who don't know..... Wattpad is an entire website housing stories written from everyday people like yourself. It's amazing and you should definitely check it out.

Back to the task at hand.... I thought this story was cute. It was very much the "boy next door" type story. Not only the boy next door but the bad boy next door. Reece as a character just made me smile. He was perfect, hot, bad boy, but with a secret sensitive side. He was a pretty dynamic character throughout the story.

Chloe cracked me up. I loved how she interacted with Reece's friends and his mom. Watching their relationship change was delightful. Chloe and Reece just work together in my opinion. The way the author had these two character interact was comedic and endearing.

Some interesting things happen in this story line. Reece's way of earning money was something I hadn't actual read about before so it was a nice change. This book went by really quick.

I would recommend if you are looking for a quick easy read! The Bad Boy Cupid & Me was fabulous in more ways than one!

My Lady Jane ~Review

“He wanted to tell her she'd have more room if she'd just get rid of her books, but he supposed that in her case, it would be like telling a mother she'd have more room if she threw out her children.”

The comical, fantastical, romantical, (not) entirely true story of Lady Jane Grey. In My Lady Jane, coauthors Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows have created a one-of-a-kind fantasy in the tradition of The Princess Bride, featuring a reluctant king, an even more reluctant queen, a noble steed, and only a passing resemblance to actual history—because sometimes history needs a little help.

At sixteen, Lady Jane Grey is about to be married off to a stranger and caught up in a conspiracy to rob her cousin, King Edward, of his throne. But those trifling problems aren’t for Jane to worry about. Jane is about to become the Queen of England.

I don't even know where to begin with this one. This has to be one of my new all time favorite books..... ever. I seriously don't even know where to begin......

I'm not a big fan of historical fiction, but everything about this book was done right! The history, the story, the magic, the characters..... everything. I loved it! All of it!

I LOVE JANE AND GIFFORD! I thought they were perfect from the beginning to end. I only wish I had more of them! I enjoyed their banter and their connection. PERFECTION

Edward.... and Bess.... and Gracie..... and even Mary... everyone. If you only read one book this year.... please make it this one.

The magic element in this story was so well done, it seemed to be flawlessly woven into the plot. Though it isn't 100% historically accurate, it does capture the main events.

I listened to this on audio and the girl who read it was phenomenal. She was able to provide a unique voice to every character that just made them even more memorable. It was amazing! If you don't want to read this, definitely recommend the audio version.

The entire story was so entertaining it felt like I couldn't put it down. That's how you know a story was written well. The way these three ladies wrote the story together was incredible. There is such cohesion, you honestly wouldn't know this was written by more than one person. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, there was never a dull moment.
