Twisted Palace ~Review

“She got under my skin the moment I met her, and she’s still there, in my blood, in my heart.”

These Royals will ruin you…

From mortal enemies to unexpected allies, two teenagers try to protect everything that matters most.

Ella Harper has met every challenge that life has thrown her way. She’s tough, resilient, and willing to do whatever it takes to defend the people she loves, but the challenge of a long-lost father and a boyfriend whose life is on the line might be too much for even Ella to overcome.

Reed Royal has a quick temper and even faster fists. But his tendency to meet every obstacle with violence has finally caught up with him. If he wants to save himself and the girl he loves, he’ll need to rise above his tortured past and tarnished reputation.

No one believes Ella can survive the Royals. Everyone is sure Reed will destroy them all.
They may be right.

With everything and everyone conspiring to keep them apart, Ella and Reed must find a way to beat the law, save their families, and unravel all the secrets in their Twisted Palace.

This book. This book. This one. Ugh! So many feels! I loved it. It was the perfect conclusion to an already terrific trilogy. Everything I wanted to be concluded was concluded and wrapped up with a nice bow. The series as a whole has already reached my all time favorites list. I adored it. Everything about it made me smile (unless the situation called for a frown).

In Twisted Palace, there was a lot going on. I couldn't figure out how everything would be resolved in only a couple hundred chapters. But, everything ended how I wanted it to. I loved it! This one was more of a mystery than the previous two. I was trying to play detective between the heart fluttering romance and heart pounding direness of the situation.

A LOT happened in Twisted Palace, but it was a rollercoaster I was more than willing to jump on. Not only was the story gorgeously written, but the covers are pretty spectacular if I do say so myself. I think the subtleness of the cover art was a perfect contrast to the story inside. 5 out of 5 stars for this story.

Elle Kennedy and Jen Frederick (the collaborative author Erin Watt) were a power duo. There is no way you'd think this trilogy was written by two different people. They seamlessly molded their writing together to create a cohesive story that, if I haven't mentioned yet, I love.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TRILOGY. If you love, romance, edge of your seat, page turning books, I think you'll love this series as much as I did! Caution: there are some rather steamy moment throughout all three books that may not be suited for younger readers.

Gemina ~Review

“Patience and Silence had one beautiful daughter. And her name was Vengeance.”

Moving to a space station at the edge of the galaxy was always going to be the death of Hanna’s social life. Nobody said it might actually get her killed.

The sci-fi saga that began with the breakout bestseller Illuminaecontinues on board the Jump Station Heimdall, where two new characters will confront the next wave of the BeiTech assault.

Hanna is the station captain’s pampered daughter; Nik the reluctant member of a notorious crime family. But while the pair are struggling with the realities of life aboard the galaxy’s most boring space station, little do they know that Kady Grant and the Hypatia are headed right toward Heimdall, carrying news of the Kerenza invasion.

When an elite BeiTech strike team invades the station, Hanna and Nik are thrown together to defend their home. But alien predators are picking off the station residents one by one, and a malfunction in the station’s wormhole means the space-time continuum might be ripped in two before dinner. Soon Hanna and Nik aren’t just fighting for their own survival; the fate of everyone on the Hypatia—and possibly the known universe—is in their hands.

But relax. They’ve totally got this. They hope.

Once again told through a compelling dossier of emails, IMs, classified files, transcripts, and schematics, Gemina raises the stakes of the Illuminae Files, hurling readers into an enthralling new story that will leave them breathless.

You know how a sequel is never as good as the first?

NOT IN THIS CASE!!!! Gemina holds her own against Illuminae. I can not praise this series enough!!! Everything about this series is amazing. I don't even know how to explain it to you or describe it.

It's not just a story. It's an experience. One that you don't want to get out of. Gemina follows the non traditional format as Illuminae, but somehow it's even better. I cant get enough of this story line.

I know this is short, but I just need you to go out and get this series. Right now. Do it. It's important.

Broken Prince ~Review

“I’ve spend the last couple of years trying to destroy everything around me. Who knew success would taste so bitter.”

From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself.

THESE ROYALS WILL RUIN YOU...

Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.

What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.

Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.

SHE MIGHT BE RIGHT.

Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy.

You know how the sequel is never as good as the first book? Well this book defies the odds. It was just as good, if not slightly better than the first one. OH MY GOODNESS! So much happened in Broken Prince. The first one was a serious page turner, I was unable to put it down and when it ended with a serious cliff hanger......... How could I not start (and finish) the sequel the same night?!

Broken Prince was just as heart breaking, and intense and dramatic as the first one! When I say dramatic, I don't mean it negatively, the drama in this series is what makes it a page turner. I loved it! Every heart wrenching, silly, steamy, fun, exciting moment of it!

The family feeling continues, Ella becoming more and more important in the Royal's lives. I enjoyed how much it reminded me of my own family, though I have a mom and dad and one little brother. But nevertheless, the familial relationships strengthened in this book, while the romance was more of a rollercoaster. I also really loved how I wasn't asking myself "Where are the parents? How can these teenager just do whatever they want without an adult knowing?" I love how involved Callum Royal was throughout the story.

I don't know why I related to Ella so much, our situation don't match up even in the slightest, but I still connected with her. I love how realistic Ella is as a character, she's not perfect, or completely broken and needing fixed, she a blend, and I appreciate that. She's funny and makes mistakes, and has to fix the mistakes. I just really liked her as a character.

I would recommend this series in a heartbeat! Again, there are some steamy scenes to be weary of if you are a younger reader.
